Synth Club returns this month – and this time its a Friday night!!! Which means we can run later. Till 1am, I am told. The price has gone up a smidge to accom the additional hours but still very cheap in the grand scheme of things – only £5 for you lovely trades hall members, £6.50 for anyone else. I think the ticket website adds a small fee – something I can’t control I’m afraid.

Anyway, hope to see as many of you there as poss. More time means we can have more sets, or longer ones – whatever works on the night.

Hopefully Santa was kind to a few of you and there will be some new kit to show off.

We don’t really like rules, so the only rule is that it has to be electronic music. That’s the only qualifying criteria, there’s no selection process and no standard that has to be met, if you ask to play and we have space, then you are playing.
This is a place where experimentation thrives, so let your imagination run wild!
Performers are invited to bless us with a 15-minute set, and slots will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
The running order is decided on the night, although we can accommodate requests by message if you need to be on early or late etc. due to the likes of work commitments or the fact you are travelling from afar.
To secure your spot, we recommend pre-booking by sending us a message, as our slots tend to fill up quickly. However, if space is available walk ins will be welcomed. *Although, October, November, & December are already full*
The Captain’s Bar provides the perfect backdrop for our sonic exploration, with its awesome ambiance and ideal setting.
As an artist, you are encouraged to bring any merchandise you have, which can be displayed and sold in one of the rooms.
Additionally, feel free to bring a USB stick containing visuals you’d like to be projected during your set.
Entrance is FREE for both performers and spectators, so gather your friends and fellow electronic music enthusiasts to join us for an incredible night of sonic wonder.

EMOM – Electronic Music Open Mic
Join the Electronic Music Open Mic (EMOM) movement at Tŷ Pawb. We are opening the stage to electronic musicians to showcase their talent! Whether you’re into techno, ambient, or experimental sounds, EMOM nights provide a platform for performances using various equipment like laptops, synths, and drum machines. Events are held regularly across the UK, including Manchester, London, and Norwich, join us as we host our first EMOM in Wrexham. Sign up for a slot to perform and connect with fellow artists.
Please bring all the equipment you need for your performance, including leads. If you need specialist adapters and cables please also bring those with you. If you’re a vocalist we will have microphones available for the performance. If possible always stay and watch the other artists.

Open Mic for live electronic music. All styles welcome, everyone welcome. You can bring a laptop, a modular synth or even just your phone with an app.
Come and perform the tunes you’ve been working on or just have a jam with a groove box. All sets are pre-booked to ensure people don’t waste a trip coming down.

You have roughly 15 mins to set up and 15 mins to play. There will be a stereo DI box onstage. You will need to plug in 2 x jack leads (bring with you) from your setup into the DI box. The sound engineer just controls a stereo feed from your setup. A vocal mic is available too if you want to you one

The all Electronic Music Open Mic (EMOM) returns to The (legendary) Dublin Castle, 94 Parkway, Camden, London. NW1 7AN

Taking place on the first Wednesday of every month this is an open stage night for London based electronic and experimental musicians. This night is aimed at giving local artists a supportive space in which to play live and experiment, and socialise with like minded people.

Seeking all forms of electronic/experimental music including: ambient, soundtrack, dance, techno, noise, electropop, drone, glitch, experimental hip-hop, field recordings, electrojazz, chiptune, looping, synthwave, trance, live coding, sound design, etc.

The focus is on London and area based artists.

Get out of your home studio or bedroom, and come out to a fun, supportive night with other enthusiastic tech heads, dabblers and music fans. You don’t need to be an established artist with a full repertoire. This is for anyone who wants to try their hand at playing live in a safe, motivating environment. Phone apps, gadgets, drum machines, loop stations, groove boxes, DJ controllers, sequencers, samplers, modular synths, computers, digital boxes, loose change and a contact mic .. and everything in between…All welcome!

Come out and meet other music makers, producers and creative types from all walks of music making. There should be plenty of time to talk gear, production techniques and a whole range of inspiring ideas.

Event will run from roughly 7pm-11.00pm with wiggle room depending on interest.

Slots are up to 15 minutes (including set-up and play). The pre-booked slots (6 in total) have all gone but we do have additional walk-in slots available on the night. First come first served.

Our hosts for the night will be Martin Christie, Mark Allin and Darren Laurence.

There is a small main stage, full live-music speaker system, and a sound engineer that will handle mixing to the main PA. We will have a table for you to setup on, and another one to the side, for the next performer to prep/wrap their gear.

Sorry – no acoustic guitars – unless they are being used to generate soundscapes or some other style of music in keeping with the night (e.g. through pedals, FX units etc.)

EMOM – Electronic Music Open Mic is happening on Thursday Feb 6th at the legendary Wheel Club in NDG!
This show will be a special tribute to David Lynch – with video projections of and related to his work and music inspired by his artistic vision.
This is the only true OPEN MIC night for electronic music in Montreal. Our motto says it all: Show up. Set up. Play!
If you want to perform:
Try to arrive between 7pm & 8pm so we can set you up before showtime.
Latecomers are OK – but you will be inserted at the end of the other sets.
If you just want to watch: we have a community of regulars who play a wide range of styles from ambient to techno to harsh noise – so there will always be a full night of great music to enjoy.

Arrive early for the best seats and enjoy our menu of delicious Asian dumplings, pizzas, and nachos.
