Muzak Concrète DJs (Ben, Pete, nic) host, from from 3pm-6pm. We play a sprawling selection of ambient / experimental / downtempo / field recordings, intricate wallpaper muzak / deep drones / astral jazz / psychedelia / post-rock / minimalism… also guest sets from local artists. Friends & regulars include – Hidden Construct, Timbient, Widespoon, Contact Specialist, Zero_hZ… and maybe … you!

We have a very broad understanding of “ambient”, you can sneak some cheeky beats in, no biggie. We welcome performances in virtually any stage of development, from your first dabblings with a new synth, to your dark ambient magnum opus. Space is limited, ideally your setup will fit on one cafe table (about a square metre). Performance zone is along one side of the cafe, not raised or seperated from the audience. You’ll be plugged into our DJ mixer, stereo RCA, so if needed please bring your own mixer – if you can’t let us know, we can sort something. No money involved, but a couple of free drinks for performers / DJs. We try and record all live sets, if you want to film your set that’s also fine.
