Laptops, synths, drum machines, loop stations, groove boxes, sequencers, samplers, iPads, modular synths, keyboards, decks, analogue and digital devices of all kinds welcome.

Sign up on the night. Slots are up to 20 minutes, times may be reduced to get as many artists as we can. Slots are first come first serve. You only want 5 minutes? No worries, come and play!
Even if you don’t wish to play, you are more then welcome to come and listen.
Artist sign up from 7:30pm on the night, music starts at 8:00pm.
In order to give you as much play time as possible we run two performance areas at opposite sides of the room. As one artist plays, the other has time to setup and get ready.
Sorry – no acoustic guitars – unless they are being used to generate soundscapes or some other style of music in keeping with the night. This is an acoustic free zone.
We do ask you respect the artists, the venue, the staff and each other.

You have roughly 15 mins to set up and 15 mins to play. There will be a stereo DI box onstage. You will need to plug in 2 x jack leads (bring with you) from your setup into the DI box. The sound engineer just controls a stereo feed from your setup. A vocal mic is available too if you want to you one

Audiovisual Performing Arts Festival in London

This year CRUX Festival is taking place at Rich Mix in Shoreditch and the event includes an EMOM stage on both Saturday and Sunday evening. Slots on the EMOM stage have been advance booked and are now all gone. The festival itself includes a wide range of amazing artists and events from the experimental music and visuals scene.

A diverse programme features an array of audio-visual performances from emerging artists as well as more established names, participatory workshops and opportunities to get involved with our jam session and open-mic electronic-music performance slots.

A community hub for creative people in music and other arts, a place where collaboration is born, ideas thrive, other projects sprout, and friendships are made.
Whether this will be your first time playing outside of your house, or you are a seasoned pro, you are welcome to come and play for us.
We don’t really like rules, so the only rule is that it has to be electronic music. That’s the only qualifying criteria, there’s no selection process and no standard that has to be met, if you ask to play and we have space, then you are playing.
This is a place where experimentation thrives, so let your imagination run wild!
Performers are invited to bless us with a 15-minute set, and slots will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
The running order is decided on the night, although we can accommodate requests by message if you need to be on early or late etc. due to the likes of work commitments or the fact you are travelling from afar.
To secure your spot, we recommend pre-booking by sending us a message, as our slots tend to fill up quickly. However, if space is available walk ins will be welcomed. *Although, October, November, & December are already full*
The Captain’s Bar provides the perfect backdrop for our sonic exploration, with its awesome ambiance and ideal setting.
As an artist, you are encouraged to bring any merchandise you have, which can be displayed and sold in one of the rooms.
Additionally, feel free to bring a USB stick containing visuals you’d like to be projected during your set.
Entrance is FREE for both performers and spectators, so gather your friends and fellow electronic music enthusiasts to join us for an incredible night of sonic wonder.

Starting at 7pm and running to 10.30 Strange Brew offers a friendly, supportive and non-judgmental community where electronic artists can showcase their talents.
Whether this is your first time playing, or you are a seasoned pro, you are welcome to come and play. All styles are welcome, you can bring a laptop, a modular synth, keyboards or even just your phone with an app.
You can perform the tunes you’ve been working on or do an improvised slot.
You will have roughly 10 mins to set up and 15 mins to play. There will be two tables to use for setup (if needed) and one performer will set up while the other is playing. We’ll have a few DI boxes, and vocal microphones available, as well as a sound engineer to assist with set up and mixes. Bring your own leads to connect your instruments to DI boxes – and if you have any specific set up needs, get in touch, and we’ll try to accommodate.

The final slot of each event will be a ‘featured artist’ who are currently ‘making waves’ We are very pleased to invite Nottingham based Pretty Windows. Described as Avant post punk poppers, serving up a riot of stories, characters and mangled lyrical Mayhem.
Analogue Electronic Whatever will also do a slot midway through the event.
The Venue is the Brewhouse Arts Centre, 14 Union St, Burton-on-Trent DE14 1AJ there is ample parking in the car park next to the venue.
